In pursuit of this goal, a theoretical foundation covered the realms of Professional and Technological Education History, Extension, and History, Memory, and Identity within the school institution context. This constitutes a qualitative and applied study, with procedures involving documentary research and oral history. Initially, documents linked to extension projects at the IFRS Viamão Campus were identified and analyzed. Applying exclusion and inclusion criteria to the 132 identified projects yielded the following projects/programs: EcoViamão, Sarau Cultural, Sou Campus Viamão, IFRS Contribui, and Vivência do Mbyá Rekô. The research encompassed 21 interviews with managers, coordinators, collaborators, scholarship holders/former scholarship holders, and partners/members of the external community. The outcome was an Educational Product named Memories of Extensionists, comprising a series of three episodes: Building History, Beyond the Walls, and Project Contributions. The theoretical framework included various authors such as Candau (2021), Ciavatta (2005, 2007), Le Goff (2013), Magalhães (1999, 2004, 2010), Pollak (1992), and Saviani (2005) in the field of History, Memory, and Identity. The theoretical foundations of Professional and Technological Education, Federal Institutes, and Extension were also considered, with authors like Freire (1983), Moura (2008), Pacheco (2011), Ramos (2008), Saviani (2007), Serrano (2013), and Severino (2016). For oral history, contributions from Alberti (2013), Amado and Ferreira (2006) and Grazziotin and Almeida (2012) were incorporated. The results indicate that the extension had a substantial impact on shaping the Viamão Campus profile, fortifying its institutional mission, and positively influencing education and research by engaging with local realities."
