Watcher : uma ferramenta para consulta de datas de editais e calendário acadêmico

Abstract

Os editais de Ensino, Extensão e Pesquisa são fundamentais para os alunos do Instituto, onde encontra-se a oportunidade de aprender mais sobre ter esponsabilidade com o que lhe for repassado de atividade, quesitos técnicos e não-técnicos relacionados às bolsas que realizará e a vivência ou até mesmo experiência inicial com o trabalho. Todavia, as informações relacionadas ao processo dos editais são compartilhadas via e-mail no formato .pdf, estando então num modo engessado para acompanhamento. No local do site do Instituto onde há toda a lista de editais vigentes e os encerrados para consulta, a informação permanece de forma engessada, sendo necessário retomar o arquivo PDF para consultar datas e informações selacionadas. Foi realizada uma pesquisa com alunos e docentes, onde mais da metade dos entrevistados passam ou passaram dificuldades no acompanhamento de editais, inclusive perdendo prazos no processo. Tendo em vista esta dificuldade de acompanhar de forma adequada e efetiva as datas, prazos dos editais, este trabalho de conclusão de curso apresenta a plataforma web Watcher, pensado e modularizado para trazer aos alunos e servidores do Campus Restinga um local onde poderão de fato usufruir e acompanhar via newsletter todo os passos dos editais que acontecem ao longo do ano. Para o desenvolvimento deste projeto inicial (MVP) foi utilizado as tecnologias React, por ser um framework bem presente no mercado de trabalho e ser uma linguagem bem interessante para o desenvolvimento frontend, Node.js para trabalhar toda a questão de back-end do projeto, bem como utilização do método ágil Kanplan para controle de atividades e visibilidade de atuação.

The Teaching, Extension and Research notices are essential for the Institute's students, where they can learn more about being responsible for what is passed on of activity, technical and non-technical questions related to the scholarships they will carry out and also the experience or even initial experience with the work. However, information related to the bidding process is shared via e-mail in .pdf format, being then in a plastered mode for followup. The part of the Institute's website where there is the entire list of current public notices and those closed for consultation, the information remains in plaster, and it is necessary to return to the .pdf file to consult dates and related information. A survey was carried out with students and teachers, where more than half of the interviewees have or have had difficulties in monitoring public notices, including missing deadlines in the process. In view of this difficulty in properly and effectively monitoring the dates and deadlines of the notices, the Watcher web platform will be presented here, designed, and modularized to bring students and faculty at Campus Restinga a place where they can monitor through a newsletter all the steps of the public notices that take place throughout the year. For the development of this initial project (MVP) React technologies were used, as it is a framework that is very present in the job market and is a very interesting language for front-end development, Node.js to work with the entire back-end issue of the project, as well as the use of the agile method called Kanplan to control activities and visibility of the performance.
