Olhar a arte para olhar para dentro de si

Abstract

Este artigo relata uma prática pedagógica realizada em 2019 com uma turma de 9º ano do ensino fundamental de uma escola municipal de Flores da Cunha - RS, fundamentada na Abordagem Triangular de Ana Mae Barbosa e inspirada pela visita a uma exposição do artista Susano Correia. O objetivo geral é compreender como a aula de Arte pode favorecer a expressão da subjetividade dos estudantes. Os objetivos específicos são: a) descrever como diferentes técnicas de produção contribuem na expressividade artística dos trabalhos; b) explicar como os alunos podem utilizar suas produções artísticas como forma de expressar sentimentos desafiadores; c) investigar como o contato com a arte pode ajudar os estudantes a refletirem sobre o papel da arte no entendimento dos próprios sentimentos; e d) entender a arte como linguagem expressiva. A metodologia combinou pesquisa bibliográfica e análise qualitativa das produções e depoimentos dos alunos. O projeto possibilitou aos estudantes apreciar, discutir, experimentar técnicas artísticas menos usuais e reorientar processos criativos. O engajamento e a diversidade de recursos favoreceram a expressão da subjetividade, a autoconfiança e a mudança de postura em relação ao papel da arte - na escola e na vida. Os resultados indicam que a aula de Arte, planejada de forma intencional e sensível, pode transcender conteúdos formais, constituindo espaço para criação, ampliação do repertório estético e elaboração de poéticas pessoais. Reafirma-se a relevância da formação continuada do professor como mediador cultural e das condições estruturais necessárias para práticas que conectem o universo íntimo do estudante ao mundo que o cerca.

This article reports on a pedagogical practice carried out in 2019 with a ninth-grade class in a municipal school in Flores da Cunha, Brazil. The practice was grounded in Ana Mae Barbosa’s Triangular Approach and inspired by a visit to an exhibition by artist Susano Correia. The general objective was to understand how art education can foster the expression of students’ subjectivity. The specific objectives were: to describe how different production techniques contribute to artistic expressiveness; to explain how students can use their artistic creations as a way of expressing challenging emotions; to investigate how engaging with art can help students reflect on the role of art in understanding their own feelings; and to approach art as a language of expression. The methodology combined bibliographic research with qualitative analysis of students’ artworks and testimonies. The project allowed students to appreciate, discuss, and experiment with less common artistic techniques, while also reorienting their creative processes. Engagement and the diversity of resources enhanced the expression of subjectivity, self-confidence, and a shift in perspective regarding the role of art - in school and in life. The findings indicate that intentionally and sensitively planned art education can transcend formal content, creating space for artistic creation, the expansion of aesthetic repertoire, and the development of personal poetics. The study also reaffirms the importance of ongoing teacher training, the teacher as a cultural mediator, and the structural conditions necessary for practices that connect the student’s inner world.
