As Greentechs como alternativa de investimentos: estudo de caso da empresa Radix

Abstract

A economia moderna trouxe uma série de mudanças na forma de fazer negócios, surgindo novas estruturas de empresas, denominadas Empresas Verdes com foco no uso de Tecnologias, também conhecidas como GreenTechs. Atuando dentro das boas práticas focadas em sustentabilidade, conhecidas como ESG, essas empresas são consideradas um modelo de Startup, que tem como objetivo desenvolver modelo de negócio de maneira escalável, disruptiva e repetível. Neste tocante, é sabido que dependerão de grandes investimentos para percorrer as fases, desde sua criação até tornarem-se empresas que sejam financeiramente saudáveis. Dentre as diversas categorias de Empresas Verdes, este trabalho buscará entender o fenômeno das GreenTechs, que são empresas de iniciativa verde que oferecem soluções tecnológicas e que visam reduzir o impacto ambiental negativo das suas operações, criando produtos e serviços que ajudem a preservar o planeta. Para tanto, foi realizado um estudo de caso único junto a empresa RADIX INVESTIMENTOS FLORESTAIS LTDA, uma vez que ela vem se destacando positivamente, não só pela adoção de boas práticas ambientais, sociais e políticas (ESG), mas também como modelo de atuação como GreenTech. O objetivo desta pesquisa foi procurar identificar quais fatores podem ser considerados pelos investidores nas empresas que atuam no segmento GreenTech como alternativa de investimentos, a partir da análise dos 3T´S (Team, Technology and Traction). Os resultados encontrados apontam que além destes negócios terem um potencial de desenvolvimento financeiro, podem oferecer retornos profícuos na área ambiental e social, através do impacto positivos de seu modelo de negócio.

The modern economy has brought a series of changes in the way of doing business, with new company structures emerging, called Green Companies focusing on the use of Technologies, also known as GreenTechs. Operating within good practices focused on sustainability, known as ESG, these companies are considered a Startup model, which aims to develop a business model in a scalable, disruptive and repeatable way. In this regard, it is known that they will depend on large investments to go through the phases, from their creation to becoming financially healthy companies. Among the various categories of Green Companies, this work will seek to understand the phenomenon of GreenTechs, which are green initiative companies that offer technological solutions and aim to reduce the negative environmental impact of their operations, creating products and services that help preserve the planet. To this end, a unique case study was carried out with the company RADIX INVESTIMENTOS FLORESTAIS LTDA, as it has stood out positively, not only for adopting good environmental, social and political practices (ESG), but also as a model of action as GreenTech. The objective of this research was to identify which factors can be considered by investors in companies that operate in the GreenTech segment as an investment alternative, based on the analysis of the 3T'S (Team, Technology and Traction). The results found indicate that in addition to these businesses having the potential for financial development, they can offer profitable returns in the environmental and social area, through the positive impact of their business model.
