Em busca da autonomia: a pesquisa como percurso na formação de profissionais técnicos em química

Abstract

A escola tem uma atribuição maior do que somente instruir os discentes, mas principalmente, formar cidadãos autônomos. Uma das formas de construção de conhecimento para a autonomia do sujeito é através da pesquisa de elementos presentes no cotidiano e associando-os aos saberes científicos. Neste intuito, o presente estudo analisou como o processo de pesquisa impacta na formação dos discentes de um curso de técnico em química integrado ao ensino médio, em uma escola pública da região do Vale do Caí - RS. Os dados utilizados para a análise foram documentos da instituição de ensino, a observação do painel de qualificação científica e entrevistas semiestruturadas de discentes do terceiro ano do curso e docentes orientadores destes grupos de pesquisa. Após os dados foram transcritos e analisados pelo Princípio da Análise de Conteúdos, conforme Laurence Bardin. De acordo com os dados coletados, os discentes iniciaram o desenvolvimento de pesquisa científica apenas quando ingressaram no curso técnico em química. Apesar dos benefícios relatados da pesquisa na formação dos discentes, como a construção de conhecimentos voltados para a realidade, a motivação em estudar, a responsabilidade e comprometimento, eles ainda estão engessados em métodos tradicionais de ensino e aprendizagem, uma vez que, apresentam dificuldades em interdisciplinarizar os saberes. Por fim, acredita-se na necessidade de desenvolver pesquisa científica na educação básica, a fim de que, a educação sempre possa estar articulada aos desafios da construção de uma sociedade mais igualitária, livre, feliz e sustentável politico-econômico-sócio e ambientalmente.

The school has a greater attribution than just instructing the students, but mainly, forming autonomous citizens. One of the ways of constructing knowledge for the autonomy of the subject is through the research of everyday elements and associating them with scientific knowledge. In this sense, the present study analyzed how the research process impacts the training of the students of the course of chemistry technician integrated to high school, in a public school in the Vale do Caí - RS region. The data used for the analysis were documents of the educational institution, the observation of the scientific qualification panel and semi-structured interviews of students of the third year of the course and the teaching staff of these research groups. After the data were transcribed and analyzed by the Principle of Content Analysis, according to Laurence Bardin. According to the data collected, the students began the development of scientific research only when they began the technical course in chemistry. In spite of the reported benefits of research in student training, such as the construction of knowledge focused on reality, motivation to study, responsibility and commitment, they are still embedded in traditional teaching and learning methods, since they present difficulties in interdisciplinary knowledge. Finally, it is believed in the need to develop scientific research in the basic education, so that education can always be articulated to the challenges of building a more egalitarian, free, happy and sustainable politico-economic-partner society and environmentally.
