INFLUÊNCIAS CULTURAIS NA MODA: A MODA TRANSGRESSORA DE VIVIENNE WESTWOOD

Abstract

O ser humano emerge na história como um ser cultural, constituindo-se a partir de um contexto histórico e social. Na moda, tais influências manifestam-se nas escolhas estilísticas e nas preferências estéticas, como uma representação da cultura em constante transformação. Vivienne Westwood, Designer de Moda britânica, destaca-se como um exemplo notável desse fenômeno, utilizando-se da cultura para inspirar suas criações. Nessa perspectiva, este estudo tem como objetivo analisar as referências culturais e sociais que influenciaram a Designer Vivienne Westwood, reconhecida mundialmente como a Rainha da Moda. O estudo, de natureza qualitativa, compreendeu uma Pesquisa Bibliográfica sobre o tema, destacando a história de Vivienne Westwood e os alicerces que inspiraram e sustentaram suas criações: o punk, a história e o ativismo. Como resultado, o estudo apresenta algumas das coleções de Vivienne, identificando as principais referências culturais, adotadas como forma de contestação crítica de valores impostos pela sociedade, que revelaram sua moda transgressora.

The human being emerges in history as a cultural being, constituted from a historical and social context. In fashion, such influences manifest themselves in stylistic choices and aesthetic preferences, as a representation of culture in constant transformation. Vivienne Westwood, British Fashion Designer, stands out as a notable example of these characteristics, using culture to inspire her creations. From this perspective, this study aims to analyze the cultural and social references that influenced the Designer Vivienne Westwood, recognized worldwide as the Queen of Fashion. The study, of a qualitative nature, comprises a Bibliographical Research on the topic, highlighting the story of Vivienne Westwood and the foundations that inspired and sustained her creations: punk, history and activism. As a result, the study presents some of Vivienne's collections, identifying the main cultural references, imposed as a form of critical contestation of values by society, which revealed her transgressive fashion.
