Letramento e cidadania: caminhos para uma abordagem crítica do gênero textual "notícia"

Abstract

Este Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso propõe a construção de um planejamento didático que contribua com o desenvolvimento da leitura, produção textual e reflexão linguística, tendo como foco a formação linguística e cidadã do aluno. Para isto, foi realizada uma investigação sobre a abordagem dada pelo livro didático (LD) de língua portuguesa, adotado pela maioria das escolas de ensino médio do município de Osório no Programa Nacional do Livro Didático (PNLD) de 2018, sobre o gênero textual notícia, analisando a integração das habilidades linguísticas. A escolha em analisar o LD ocorre em razão de se configurar em um dos instrumentos de ação do trabalho docente, ocupando lugar de destaque e de apoio da prática e, em alguns contextos, sendo a única fonte de recursos. Já a escolha pelo gênero textual notícia se dá pelo fato de ser um gênero pertencente às mídias jornalísticas e possuir uma função social relevante dentro de nossa sociedade, uma vez que tem como finalidade informar aos cidadãos fatos do cotidiano. Sendo assim, a fim de apresentar uma proposta didática que alinhe o estudo do gênero textual com o desenvolvimento das habilidades linguísticas dos alunos, este trabalho possui como objetivos específicos: (a) desenvolver critérios para a análise da proposta do LD para o gênero textual notícia; (b) analisar e descrever o capítulo a partir da ferramenta criada; (c) tecer diálogos entre o referencial teórico adotado por esta pesquisa e o trabalho proposto pelo capítulo; (d) construir uma proposta didática que reúna os pontos positivos do capítulo analisado, acrescentando o que foi apontado para ser melhorado. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa dividida em dois momentos: o primeiro com viés bibliográfico e o segundo de análise documental. Na primeira etapa, foi realizada uma revisão bibliográfica sobre o ensino de língua portuguesa como língua materna, por intermédio de estudos que possuem sua perspectiva voltada para o ensino da língua através de seu uso. Por meio desta revisão, foram constituídos os critérios para a avaliação do capítulo a ser analisado. No segundo momento, foram investigados os documentos que constituem o PNLD, principalmente aqueles específicos ao ano de 2018, a fim de compreender como ocorre o processo de escolha dos LDs, tanto por parte do governo quanto do professor. Quanto à análise do capítulo do LD investigado, o qual trabalha com a notícia, esta foi realizada de forma descritiva, organizada por meio de um roteiro de análise e, ao final de cada descrição, foram feitas considerações apontando os pontos positivos e o que poderia ser melhorado na proposta. Ao final deste processo de investigação, após revisitar os pressupostos teóricos e realizar a descrição e análise do objeto de estudo, foi criada uma proposta didática com o objetivo de apresentar uma alternativa para o trabalho com o gênero textual notícia. Em sua elaboração, procurou-se integrar leitura, produção textual e reflexão linguística, a partir do tema gerador “As mulheres produzem arte? Uma análise a partir de notícias”, com o objetivo de contribuir para a formação cidadã do aluno por meio da reflexão sobre a língua.

This final paper proposes the elaboration of a didactic planning that aims to contribute to the development of reading, writing, and linguistic reflection skills, focusing on the linguistic and civic formation of the student. To this end, an investigation was conducted on the approach adopted by a Brazilian Portuguese textbook from the 2018 PNLD (National Textbook Program), used in most public high schools in the city of Osório. The study analyzes how linguistic abilities are integrated in the treatment of the textual genre News Report within the textbook. The textbook was selected because it is one of the main instruments used by teachers, serving as essential support for daily teaching practice and, in some contexts, as the only available resource. The choice of the News Report genre is justified by its presence in journalistic contexts and its relevant social role, as it aims to inform citizens about everyday events. Therefore, in order to present a didactic plan that articulates the study of the textual genre with the development of students’ linguistic abilities, this study has four main objectives: (a) to develop parameters for analyzing the textbook’s approach to the News Report genre; (b) to analyze and describe the selected chapter based on these parameters; (c) to establish connections between the theoretical framework of this study and the chapter’s approach; and (d) to develop a didactic project that incorporates the positive aspects identified in the analyzed chapter while addressing points for improvement. This research is qualitative and is organized into two stages: the first is bibliographical, and the second consists of documentary analysis. In the first stage, a literature review was conducted on Portuguese language teaching as a mother tongue, grounded mainly in perspectives that emphasize language use. Based on this review, the criteria for analyzing the chapter were established. In the second stage, documents related to the PNLD, especially those from 2018, were examined to understand how textbooks are selected by both the government and teachers. The analysis of the textbook chapter was descriptive and structured through an analysis guide, with each section followed by considerations highlighting strengths and aspects that could be improved. At the end of the investigation, after revisiting the theoretical framework and completing the description and analysis of the study object, a didactic project was developed to present an alternative approach to teaching the News Report genre. In its design, the project sought to integrate reading, writing, and linguistic reflection based on the theme “Do women produce art? An analysis based on news reports,” aiming to contribute to students’ civic formation through reflection on language.
