A jornada do herói em Harry Potter, Star Wars e Cavaleiros do Zodíaco: uma análise da narrativa

Abstract

A figura do herói tem sido representada em diversas histórias fantásticas, desde clássicos da literatura mundial largamente estudados por teóricos de literatura até livros recentes que têm aos poucos adentrado o mundo acadêmico como objetivo de análise. Um dos principais autores que estudou os feitos de heróis em histórias ficcionais foi Joseph Campbell (2007), que escreveu um livro intitulado “O Herói de Mil Faces”, no qual apresenta uma estrutura básica dos principais passos das jornadas percorridas por diversos heróis de várias épocas e culturas distintas. O presente trabalho busca utilizar-se do referencial de Campbell (2007) como base para fazer uma comparação entre a jornada de heróis de três obras distintas: “Harry Potter”, “Os Cavaleiros do Zodíaco - The Lost Canvas” e “Star Wars”.

The hero figure has been represented in several fantasy stories, from world literature classics widely studied by literature theorists to present-days books that have been entering in the academic world as object of analysis. One of the main authors that has studied the heroes’ actions in fictional stories is Joseph Campbell (2007). In his book entitled “The Hero with a Thousand Faces”, he presents a basic structure of steps that can be seen in the heroes’ journeys of different eras and cultures. The present study intends to use Campbell’s (2007) reference as basis to make a comparison of the hero’s journey in three different stories: “Harry Potter”, “Knight of the Zodiac - The Lost Canvas” and “Star Wars”.
